Originally, back in the 16th century, Smoking jackets were designed to be worn over one’s garments to protect them while smoking cigars. Today a smoking jacket is a piece to wear around the holidays at home when hosting friends or family and when wearing just the PJ’s might seem inappropriate ;)

Wide shawl lapel in black satin
Featuring a belt and 2 slanted lower pockets with flaps
